Requerimientos

• ​Confirmation is one of the three sacraments of initiation.
• When we are baptized, we receive – partially – the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Confirmation completes those gifts in us. With Confirmation, we are “sealed” in the Spirit.
• The program includes active participation in our parish community including retreats and volunteer service experiences.
• Confirmation preparation is open to this in the 6th grade up until 12th grade. Keep in mind those who are in the grades 6th to 8th must have received their first communion. 
• The suggested donation is $100

• Cuando nos bautizamos, recibimos, parcialmente, los dones del Espíritu Santo. La confirmación completa esos dones en nosotros. Con la Confirmación, somos “sellados” en el Espíritu.
• El programa incluye participación activa en nuestra comunidad parroquial, incluidos retiros y experiencias de servicio voluntario.
• La preparación de la confirmación está abierta aquellos en los grados 6 al 12. Tomen nota que aquellos en los grados 6 al 8 deben tener la primera comunion

It is the goal of the Our Lady of Peace Parish Confirmation program to assist young people in their relationships with God, specifically preparing them to receive the Holy Spirit. 

Every individual has a different journey with God, but we are all led to the Father through the Son. As St. Thomas Aquinas stated, if we want to see a truly happy man, we should turn to crucified Jesus on the Cross. It is on the Cross that we see Jesus doing what He truly loves - doing the will of his Father; Single-hearted one; Strive for righteousness; Ultimate peacemaker; Ultimate bearer of Divine Mercy - and depise what He despises - wealth, pleasure, power, honor.

Community Service Opportunities

Confirmation Candidates are required to complete 30 hours of community service throughout the course of the program. Hours may be completed with any non-profit organization. The following are a list of possible opportunities. Students must abide by all of the sponsoring organization's rules and regulations.

Volunteer opportunities include serving a meal at One City Café, packing and distributing groceries in one of our food pantries, and helping in our office. Volunteer positions are available Monday-Friday.
